In Session #3, Dr. Cullen demonstrates the Key Elements of Gathering Data, Discerning the Problem, Giving Instruction, and Assigning Homework. Dr. Cullen works with Kim to continue from her previous sessions to demonstrate the importance of understanding the big picture and understanding the heart.

In Session 10, Jamaica counsels Ifetayo under worsening circumstances. Jamaica uses the Key Elements of Giving Instruction and Assigning Homework. Jamaica demonstrates involvement with Ifetayo and prepares Ifetayo for graduation. This session is the beginning of the graduation process, covering Ifetayo's "Three Month Plan for Growth."

In Session #8, Dr. Chen reviews starts by reviewing homework assigned in Session 7, Giving Instruction, and ending the session with the Key Element of Assigning Homework. Since Session 1, Dr. Chen has ensured to cover the Gospel and teach Jess about the centrality of the heart. She is now working on presenting problems with Jess.

In Session #2, Zondra demonstrates the Key Elements of Building Involvement and Discerning the Problem. Zondra establishes the Gospel as central to all change and spends time helping Lori understand her problem in light of the Gospel. For this session, observe Zondra's work in Discerning the Presenting Problem with the gospel.

In this Introduction Video, Drs. Gifford and Cullen explain the best way to use these Observation Videos. As in any observation series, you will want to learn from the method of counseling being taught, known as the "Key Elements of Biblical Counseling." In order to better understand the entire project, from Session #1 to Session #11, you will greatly benefit from watching this brief introduction.
