Harriet Beecher Stowe was inspired by Josiah Henson's 1849 autobiography for her novel "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and galvanized abolitionists. He was enslaved by Isaac Riley for 30 years on what was once a 270-acre plantation run. An old house and an acre of land are all that remain. Time Team America digs for clues and peels back layers of the old kitchen floor to tell the story of one of the most important Americans of the 19th century.
