Wei Wuxian manages to unlock the mysteries of the Guanyin Temple and successfully captures Wen Ning. Lan Wangji arrives at the temple and confronts Wei Wuxian about his betrayal of the clan and the danger posed by the demonic cultivation. Wei Wuxian reassures Lan Wangji of his intentions, but the conversation is cut short when they are attacked by an unknown assailant.
