Walter continues his investigation into the mysterious woman in white, who appears to be haunting his closest friend, Laura. He seeks out her former governess, who reveals a shocking secret about Laura's past. Meanwhile, Laura's scheming husband, Sir Percival Glyde, grows increasingly paranoid and threatening, as he tries to keep his own secrets hidden. As the tension mounts, Walter becomes determined to unravelling the truth and saving Laura from her dangerous situation.
