The trolls are back with season 6 of their musical animated series, Trolls: The Beat Goes On! In Episode 1 titled “A New Bergen-ing,” the Trolls continue to spread happiness and joy in the colorful world of Troll Village while facing new challenges.
The episode begins with Poppy, the optimistic queen of the Trolls, and Branch, the grumpy troll who always seems to find himself in a predicament, holding a community meeting to discuss the latest news in Troll Village. They soon discover that the horn is coming from a group of Bergens who have arrived in Troll Village for a “Bergen Coronation.” The Trolls realize that Coronation Chef is no other than Bridget, the kind-hearted Bergen who helped Poppy and Branch save their friends in the movie Trolls.
Although Bridget is now a chef, the Trolls are still skeptical about a Bergen cooking for them. They worry that she might put them back in danger, but Poppy decides to give Bridget the benefit of the doubt and welcomes her to the village.
As the Bergens get ready for the coronation, Poppy and Branch worry that something is not quite right, but they cannot put their finger on what it might be. So they decide to disguise themselves as Bergens to investigate.
Their investigation leads them to the coronation dress rehearsal where they discover that a group of Bergens are planning to break tradition and “eat the Troll first” instead of last. This sets the Trolls on a mission to stop them before it’s too late.
With the help of Bridget and their fellow Trolls, Poppy and Branch devise a plan to distract the Bergens and prevent them from eating any Trolls. Their plan works, and the Trolls manage to turn the situation around, saving themselves from becoming a Bergen’s next meal.
As the coronation comes to an end, the Trolls and Bergens come to a mutual understanding and decide to hold a joint feast where they can all enjoy a meal together. This moment of unity marks a significant milestone in the relationship between the Trolls and Bergens and brings an end to a fun and eventful episode.
