Ep 9. Nothing In The Finding Place/Finding Play

NOTHING IN THE FINDING PLACE When Fig finds nothing in the Finding Place, he asks Maple and Hedge for something to do. But, his friends are at a loss of what to play, too. Pine is thrilled advising, "when you have nothing to do, that's when something wonderful happens!" Excited, the friends go to different areas of the Spider Sanctuary, looking for that wonderful something. As they wait, Fig drums on a bucket, Maple plays keep away with the sun and Hedge balances his spyglass on his nose. This leads Hedge to bounce on a marshroom, Maple to invent a new dance and Fig and Stick to keep leaves a-float in a fountain. Their play begins to combine with each other and they create a circuit around the Spider Sanctuary. They learn that there's never nothing to do as long as you have your creativity. FINDING PLAY When Fig surprises Stick with his own Finding Place and a ball & cup toy inside, he's delighted to see how happy it makes Stick. This inspires him to make Finding Places for his other friends. He assumes they will all play with their ball & cups in the typical way. But, after he leaves Hedge, Hedge pretends his ball & cup is a rocket and he and Planet Pine zoom around. Maple and Pebble discover they can use their ball & cup as a leaf catcher. Fig returns to the ship and is very surprised to see the chickens using their ball & cups as a variety of musical instruments! He's amazed to see all the new and imaginative ways his friends are using their ball & cups, ways he never would have thought to play. He realizes that the Finding Place lets everyone play in their own unique way.
