In TURN: Washington's Spies season 1 episode 2, titled Who by Fire, the tense espionage drama continues as each side tries to gain the upper hand during the Revolutionary War.

As the episode begins, tensions are rising between the British and the American rebels as they battle for control of Long Island. In the heart of New York City, Benjamin Tallmadge (played by Seth Numrich) and Caleb Brewster (played by Daniel Henshall) are tasked with infiltrating the ranks of the British army to gather crucial intelligence. Meanwhile, the cunning American spy Abe Woodhull (played by Jamie Bell) is working to uncover a traitor in the rebel camp.

As the fighting intensifies, both sides resort to increasingly brutal tactics in their quest for victory. The British general Howe (played by Ian Kahn) orders his troops to burn down houses and execute American soldiers, while the rebels retaliate by staging their own brutal raids.

Caught in the middle of this violent conflict is Woodhull, who must navigate the treacherous waters of espionage and betrayal to stay alive. His relationship with his childhood friend, the British officer John Andre (played by J.J. Feild), becomes more complicated as both men struggle to keep secrets from each other.

Meanwhile, Tallmadge and Brewster face challenges of their own as they attempt to gain the trust of their British counterparts. Tallmadge goes undercover as a loyalist to gain access to crucial British documents, while Brewster dangerously attempts to smuggle out a captured American soldier from a British prison.

Amidst all this chaos, Woodhull uncovers a plot by his own fellow rebels to overthrow General Washington (played by Ian Kahn). With lives on the line, Woodhull must decide where his loyalties truly lie and make some impossible choices.

As the episode builds to a dramatic conclusion, the fates of several characters hang in the balance. Who will survive this brutal conflict, and who will fall by the wayside? The answers may shock even the most seasoned fans of TURN: Washington's Spies.
