Selina Meyer, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, is back at it again in this season of Veep, and episode 5 certainly brings the laughs and drama. Titled "Thanksgiving," it's the perfect holiday episode that has nothing to do with typical Thanksgiving cliches but everything to do with the political arena.

The episode opens with Selina and her team on their way to Camp David for a quiet and relaxing Thanksgiving celebration. But as always, things don't go as planned. As Selina settles in, she receives some terrible news when she discovers that her team has been leaked to the press. Now, their entire political agenda for the year is out in the open, exposing all of their plans and weaknesses. This sends Selina into an overdrive, and she begins to frantically go through the list of suspects, trying to identify the mole.

Meanwhile, Catherine, Selina's daughter, insists on bringing her new boyfriend, Marjorie to the dinner. This leads to an awkward encounter with her ex-husband Andrew, who can't seem to get over his ex-wife. While Selina's team is busy fixing the leak, Andrew and Catherine have a tense conversation, leading to an embarrassing and uncomfortable moment for everyone.

As always, the comedic timing is on point throughout the episode. Actor Tony Hale, who plays Selina's personal assistant, Gary Walsh, is back with his usual neuroticism, providing a lot of laughs during the high-stress situation. He tries to calm Selina down during the leak crisis, but his list of possible suspects ends up making things worse.

The episode also explores other relationships within the show. Dan (played by Reid Scott) and Amy (Anna Chlumsky), are still trying to define their relationship, and their continued awkwardness definitely adds to the comedic value in this episode. Their exchanges provide a light, humorous moment between all the drama.

As Selina and her team try to identify the mole, they finally discover the culprit. This pivotal moment not only disrupts Selina's Thanksgiving dinner plans but also sets the stage for the rest of the season. The moment sets the course for Selina's next steps as President, and fans will be left wondering how this will impact the remainder of the season.

All in all, "Thanksgiving" is a classic episode of Veep, full of the show's signature witty dialogue and clever humor. The episode manages to be both funny and intense, balancing the comedy with the political drama that has become a staple of the show. Fans of the series will not be disappointed as they watch Selina navigate yet another political crisis while managing the chaos in her personal life.
