In this episode Ronnie and Wes continue their discussion on creating and managing virtual machines inside of Kernel-based Virtual Machines or KVM. They look at how to clone a virtual machine as well as starting and stopping the cloned machines. They demonstrate how to create and restore virtual machine snapshots. They explorer some of the various management commands in that can be used in KVM.

They show how to configure forwarding in IPTables for the KVM platform. In this episode, Ronnie and Mike talk about the setting and configurations that we must consider when building a Hyper-V VM for production use. They show how to configure resource settings during the creation and talk about some of settings that may need to be created separately then selected in the given wizard. After walking through the wizard, they create a VM with no OS installed.

Since most Type I Hypervisors are used in a production environment they mention that they are more efficient.
