In the eighth and final episode of season one of White Rabbit Project, titled "Where's My Hoverboard?," the team investigates the technological inventions of the future that have not yet become a reality. Hosts Grant Imahara, Kari Byron, and Tory Belleci explore the history of hoverboards and the possible futuristic versions of it that could exist.

The trio began by delving into the origins of the hoverboard, which comes from the 1989 movie "Back to the Future II." Although the movie shows a hoverboard that can actually fly, the team revealed that in reality, hoverboards are nothing more than electric scooters with two wheels and are quite difficult to ride.

They then take a closer look at the future possibilities of hover technologies by attending the Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany. There, they came across a hoverboard that uses magnetic levitation to float above the ground, giving the rider an almost real-life flying experience. They also check out a hoverbike that uses four rotors and is capable of carrying a person for over 30 minutes.

Next, the team explores technologies that allow humans to fly using only a device worn on their back. They discover the Ehang drone, a Chinese vehicle that can carry a rider at speeds of up to 80 mph and at an altitude of 11,000 feet. In addition, they discover a jetpack named the "JB-10" that can fly a person up to 10,000 feet into the air.

Later on, the team investigates the possibility of traveling through space with science fiction-like technologies. They visit Elon Musk's SpaceX facility to learn more about the potential for colonizing Mars and witness the testing of the Falcon 9 rocket. They also explore the concept of warp drive by visiting NASA and learn about the possibility of traveling faster than the speed of light.

In the final segment of the episode, the trio shifts from future technologies to the present day and the cutting-edge technologies already in use. They visit Tesla's factory to learn more about the processes used to create their electric cars. They also explore the world of virtual reality to discover how it is being used in medicine, sports training, and education.

Overall, "Where's My Hoverboard?" takes viewers on a journey through the technologies of the future that are already here or could be on the horizon, showcasing how far we have come and the potential for even more advanced technologies to come. The episode is a great reminder of the importance of pushing the boundaries and never settling for mediocre outcomes, as it encourages innovation and pushing beyond limitations in every field of science and technology.
