Word Travels is a travel television series that follows two travel journalists named Robin Esrock and Julia Dimon as they explore the world and showcase their adventures in various locations. They also attend a religious ceremony at a local church and witness the passion and spirituality of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.

Throughout the episode, Robin and Julia discuss and debate their views on some of the topics and issues they encounter during their travels. For instance, they discuss the ethics of visiting wildlife parks and interacting with the animals, as well as the tension between preserving traditional culture and embracing modernization.
