Dangerous Grounds is a travel show extraordinaire, part treasure hunt and part extreme sport. Todd Carmichael, coffee expert, travels the world hunting for the perfect coffee bean. The world is filled with coffee opportunities and the show goes everywhere to find what's needed. Carmichael travels to such exotic locations as Haiti, Bolivia, Vietnam, and India to find the best of the best. Todd works for different clients, hired to find the impossible. From a picky French chef demanding the perfect coffee from Mexico to buyers wanting the most exotic bean from Nepal, Dangerous Grounds goes to extremes to find the most unique beans.

With big money there are always big dangers, and the quest for coffee is no different. Breaking through the roughest terrain, Carmichael has to ford rivers and face hostile wildlife to procure what is desired. There are dangerous people as well as dangerous animals lurking for the unwary traveler. In many places, coffee is big business and there are people who take offense to the hands-on approach of a foreign buyer.
