In the third episode of the third season of Worth It, the foodies Steven Lim and Andrew Ilnyckyj travel to Australia to explore the seafood scene. As always, they are on the look-out for delicious and unique dishes that vary in price point from ultra-affordable to exorbitant.

In this episode, Steven and Andrew take on the seafood à la carte challenge - $3 seafood vs. $213 seafood. They start by exploring the Sydney Fish Market, where they are greeted by an extraordinary selection of seafood, including the octopus, oysters, prawns, and the popular Australian dish, barramundi. The duo decides to purchase $3 worth of seafood and heads out to the beach to enjoy their meal.

Their experience with the cheap seafood is surprisingly enjoyable. They start with grilled octopus, which has an unforgettable taste and texture. Then they move on to the oysters which are bigger and better than they expected. The duo is impressed by the quality and variety of the seafood they got for $3 – a true steal.

After enjoying the cheap seafood, Steven and Andrew take on the luxury seafood adventure which starts from the deep-sea fishing boat "MHX". They learn that the $213 they will be spending on the seafood only covers the fishing expenses, and the cooking process will be an additional $150 per person–an expense that would have most of us thinking twice.

On the boat, the duo gets a lesson in fishing as they try to catch their own seafood. They drop lines deep down, and after waiting patiently for about an hour, they finally catch something. However, their catch isn't big enough, so they head to a neighboring boat to get some help.

Eventually, the duo catches a decent amount of seafood, including a giant cuttlefish, a sea urchin, and an Australian mud crab. However, their seafood adventure does not end there, as they head to a high-end restaurant to get their seafood cooked to perfection.

At the restaurant, Chef Josh Niland is waiting for them, and he is prepared to give them the worth-the-price seafood experience they paid for. They are served a range of dishes, including a cured sea urchin and a raw cuttlefish, both of which challenge their taste buds in unique ways. Then they taste the Australian mud crab, which is an absolute delight.

The experience is unparalleled and they learn that there is a lot more to seafood than what meets the eye. Their journey to sample the two extremes of seafood in Australia shows them the differences in the quality, taste, and overall experience of seafood, regardless of its price point.

The episode is a thrilling dive into the world of seafood and is marked by stunning visuals, captivating scenes, and really good seafood – both cheap and expensive. The contrasting seafood experiences of $3 compared to $213 will leave you amazed and set your mouth watering for some tasty seafood.
