The 2016 WWE Survivor Series, held at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada, was an electrifying night of non-stop action and drama, featuring some of the biggest names in professional wrestling. The show marked the 30th anniversary of the Survivor Series event and featured a number of thrilling match-ups, including a highly-anticipated showdown between fan favorites Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar.

The main event of the night was the traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match between Team Raw and Team SmackDown, with the winning team earning complete control over the brand for the foreseeable future. The match featured a who's who of WWE superstars, with Raw's team consisting of Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman, while SmackDown's team was comprised of AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, and Shane McMahon.

From the start, it was clear that this would be a competitive bout, with both teams trading blows and executing impressive maneuvers throughout the match. While Raw got off to a strong start, thanks in large part to Strowman's imposing presence, SmackDown was able to mount a comeback, led by the phenomenal AJ Styles.

Throughout the match, there were a number of high-stakes moments, including a brutal spear from Reigns that took out McMahon and an incredible RKO from Orton that stunned the crowd. However, ultimately it was a tactical error by Ambrose that led to SmackDown's downfall, as he inadvertently attacked Styles, allowing Owens to pick up the win for Team Raw.

In addition to the main event, the show featured a number of other exciting matches, including a clash between Goldberg and Lesnar that had been months in the making. Although the two men had not faced off in over a decade, their long-standing rivalry had been heating up in the weeks and months leading up to the event, with both men trading barbs and engaging in physical altercations.

When the two finally stepped into the ring together, it was clear that this match would not disappoint. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as the two behemoths battled it out, with Goldberg looking like a man possessed as he repeatedly took down Lesnar with powerful spears and jackhammers.

Despite Lesnar's reputation as one of WWE's most dominant wrestlers, he was unable to overcome Goldberg's incredible power and athleticism, and the match ended in a stunning victory for the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

Another highlight of the show was a nail-biting match between Raw Women's Champion Charlotte Flair and SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch. Both women had been on a hot streak in the weeks leading up to the event, and the match was a true showcase of their considerable talents.

In the end, it was Charlotte who emerged victorious, thanks in part to a distraction from her protege, Dana Brooke. However, Lynch put up an incredible fight, and the two women received a well-deserved standing ovation from the crowd.

Overall, the 2016 WWE Survivor Series was a must-see event for any fan of professional wrestling, featuring a number of thrilling matches and unforgettable moments. From the epic clash between Goldberg and Lesnar to the fierce competition between Team Raw and Team SmackDown, this was a night that will go down in WWE history.
