The X Games party continues as the biggest athletes come searching for gold including Shaun White in the Skateboard Vert Final. Jamie Bestwick is looking to capture his seventh gold medal in BMX Vert, and hopes to earn the event's first-ever four-peat in the process. While the Moto X Best Trick contest is highlighted by the story of Australia's Cam Sinclair. After nearly killing himself when a double backflip attempt went wrong at an X-Fighters event last summer, the 26-year-old has fought through a coma, then relearned how to walk, then relearned how to ride and finally relearned the double. He will attempt the trick once again at the biggest summer party of the year.

Only one day into X Games 16 and we have already seen some insane action as the competitions are just getting under way in Los Angeles, CA. In Moto X Racing defending champion Josh Hansen tried to repeat while trying to hold off late runs from Josh Grant who decided to compete only three days prior to the event. In Moto X Freestyle Travis Pastrana decided to return and compete for gold despite the fact that he has not competed since 2006 in Moto X Freestyle. Pastrana had some stiff competition from 18 year-old New Zealander Levi Sherwood as well as X Games veteran Nate Adams. In the Skateboarding Big Air competition Jake Brown was looking to repeat as champion but once again had to face off against the prohibitive favorite Bob Burnquist.
