Diary of a Sex Addict

Diary of a Sex Addict was a movie that came out in 2001. It was a video drama and so therefore it came out in a direct to video format. The show was about a middle aged chef who works at a luxury restaurant. He talks to a therapist about his double personality. This double personality includes him being a family man who loves his wife and son. However he also states that he is a person who is always looking to have sex at anytime and form any woman he can meet. Due to the content of the movie, it is definitely not for everyone. This movie is for mature audiences and is therefore restricted to those who are old enough to understand its content.

As stated earlier the movie features the life of a chef who has a promising career at a high end restaurant. He is successful in his career and his life is otherwise quite stable in this regard. However, he has a personal problem that he is having a very difficult time coping with. The chef is often sexually hungry and therefore has a strong desire to have sex with women on a regular basis as often as he can. As a result he talks to a therapist about it and therefore seeks assistance and guidance. The therapist talks to him and discusses his situation and tries to help him. While he seeks help from the therapist he also enjoys a happy and pleasant life with his wife and son. He loves them very much and spends quality time with them. Over the course of the movie he is looking for a way to eliminate his strong sexual desire and get it under control and otherwise preserve his marriage.

The movie Diary of a Sex Addict was not a mainstream movie and therefore wasn't really shown in theaters. As a result it did not get much attention and therefore no reviews. However it is a decent drama movie that some viewers will like. Since the content of the movie is quite serious, it is really for mature audiences and so it will only be appealing to a limited number of people. However for those who enjoy drama movies about this type of issue, this may be a decent film to see. People who find dramas about adult themes intriguing will likely enjoy watching this film every so often.
