Hot Fuzz is a 2007 comedy/action movie starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. It was released on February 14,2007 and grossed over eighty million dollars. Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is an overachieving police officer that is known by his superiors as the best of the best. Many of his fellow officers despised him because his work ethic was so good that the rest of the police officers looked lazy and incompetent. Seeing this as a growing issue with the department Nicholas is transferred to an quiet, low crime rate town to oversee the local department. Upon arriving at the new town he notices the lack of any real big crimes. He busts some underage drinkers and a DUI, but for such a small town he does not get much action.
Upon meeting his partner, they don't seem to click right away especially with the lack of assignments to go on. After, saving a swan in the lake the two partners decided to go for a drink at a local pub to try and bond. The two men find that they have a lot in common especially when it comes to taste in movie. Almost over night the whole town is stunned by the first death in the city for over ten years. Angel and his partner are called upon to investigate to the scene of the crime. After doing some research on some possible suspects he finds Simon Skinner and his Neighbor Watch Alliance in a local bar. There he tries to arrest them and charge them for murder. The alliance provides an alibi and evidence to prove their innocence and the case still remains open.
Feeling exhausted by the case, he returns to his home with a new theory on the multiple murders. After gathering evidence of Skinner's plot to kill anyone who may tarnish the image of his town, Nicholas arrests Skinner and his alliance and take them to jail.
