Look Who's Talking Too, the sequel to Look Who's Talking, is about Molly and James and their growing family. Their son, Mikey, is now a big brother, and he must learn to cope with his new sister, Julie. He finds it hard, however, as he is feeling unloved by his parents. To him, it seems they are now interested in everything about Julie, and nothing about him.
Molly, played by Kirstie Alley, is struggling to find the balance between her job and her kids. She is also struggling to find time between being a mother and being a wife. James, played by John Travolta, has the same problems, trying to find a balance between husband and father, as well as between work and home. Matters become worse when Molly's brother moves in with them for a while, causing James to feel less like a husband than ever. The two separate because of their differences in opinion. Now they must figure out how to raise their children together while living separately.
For their toddler-aged son, Mikey, it is difficult to go from only child to an older brother. He doesn't like having to share his parents' affection. He also finds his sister to be whiny and annoying, crying at the stupidest things. When their parents split up though and he sees his mother sad, he realizes that he needs to step up to help with his sister. He decides to be the best big brother he can be.
Through a tragedy caused by Molly's childish brother, the family all comes back together, proving that through the toughest of times, family is who you need by your side. Look Who's Talking Too is all about family and what it means to be one. Through all the fights, anger, and frustration, love still always remains, even if it is not seen at the time.
