Ep 7. #GoomerSitting

Sam and Cat season 1 episode 7, #GoomerSitting, follows the titular characters as they take on the responsibility of watching over Goomer, the MMA fighter who lives upstairs. When Goomer's mother goes out of town, he is left in the care of Sam and Cat, who quickly discover that looking after him is no easy task.

Back at the apartment, Sam tries to get Goomer to behave himself, but his complete lack of social skills makes it hard for her to connect with him. Cat, on the other hand, takes an entirely different approach, trying to reason with him by being his friend, but she also has a hard time understanding him.

As the day progresses, Sam and Cat try to keep Goomer occupied in different ways. They take him to a batting cage, where Goomer trashes the place, and then to a dance studio, where he tries to learn ballet. Their attempts to engage him through different activities end up backfiring each time, and they end up with more problems than solutions.

The pressure of looking after Goomer leads Sam and Cat to snap at each other. The two have a history of bickering, but Goomer's care takes it to a new level. While they both love Goomer, they're finding it difficult to manage him.

The episode takes a turn when Sam tells Cat about her recurring dream, in which a T-Rex chases her around a shopping mall. Cat suggests that maybe Goomer can help Sam learn to stand up to the T-Rex in her dreams. They decide to create a homemade game, where Goomer plays the T-Rex and Sam has to defeat him with her newfound skills.

The game turns out to be a success, with Sam finally overcoming her fear of the T-Rex. Goomer starts to understand how to express himself better, and the three bond over their successful game. Sam and Cat finally figure out how to handle Goomer, while Goomer learns that he has a support system in his friends.
