In Wilfred season 3 episode 5, titled "Shame," things get pretty awkward for Ryan and Wilfred when a video of them goes viral. The video in question is a recording of a night when Ryan and Wilfred got extremely drunk and ended up singing and dancing in front of a group of strangers. To make matters worse, Ryan's co-worker, Jeremy, was there and posted the video online.

Needless to say, Ryan is mortified when he sees the video and realizes that everyone he knows has likely seen it by now. He's particularly worried about what his sister, Kristen, and her husband, Drew, will think of him. Meanwhile, Wilfred seems to be amused by the whole situation and doesn't see what the big deal is.

As Ryan tries to come to terms with his embarrassment, he faces a number of challenges. His sister and brother-in-law come over for dinner, and Ryan can't help but feel like they're judging him. Ryan's mother also calls to check in, and she's clearly disappointed in her son's behavior. To make matters worse, Ryan's boss at work is trying to use the video to get Ryan fired.

Throughout all of this, Wilfred tries to help Ryan by convincing him that shame is just an illusion and that he shouldn't care what other people think of him. However, as the situation spirals out of control, it becomes clear that avoiding shame isn't as easy as Wilfred makes it out to be.

In the end, Ryan has to confront his own feelings of shame and vulnerability in order to move past the incident. He also learns the true value of friendship, as Wilfred sticks by his side through all of the craziness. "Shame" is a powerful and emotional episode that shows the importance of facing your fears and being true to yourself, no matter what other people may think.
