"A Pure Formality" is a 108 minute long, French-language, Italian suspense film from the year 1994. Onoff is a famous writer whom has since taken a reclusive level of exposure to society. The Inspector grows suspicious when Onoff is taken to the police station, albeit in a state of disorientation and lost memories. The Inspector is the captain of a remote police station out in the countryside and applies logic, reasoning, and careful questioning to learn all he requires. Through exacting lines of questioning, The Inspector not only demystifies a recent killing, but enlightens the Onoff about what truly occurred.
