Joe Gideon has led everything but a mundane lifestyle. He is a chain-smoker, drug abuser, heavy drinker, and above all, a notorious womanizer. In the midst of choreographing and choosing dancers to feature in his new show as well as working on his feature film, he is faced with several challenges. Not only is all of his energy being used on the upcoming show and film, but he also needs to cope with an ex-wife, a daughter, and a girlfriend. His exhausting and dangerous lifestyle seems to see no end until he lands himself in the hospital to have open heart surgery. After the failed attempts of his family and friends to prevent Joe from getting to this point, it is now up to Joe to better himself. Joe soon realizes how his actions have effected his health and the need for significant changes in his lifestyle in order to stay alive.
