The film's story revolves around a young man who fights against corruption, injustice and the powerful drug mafia operating in the city. The movie starts with a dramatic incident that takes place during the opening ceremony of the new police headquarters in the city. The Chief Minister (played by Janardhan Maharshi) and other top officials are present during the ceremony. Suddenly, a terrorist attack happens, and the police and the military are unable to control the situation, leading to several casualties. A young man named ACP Bose (played by Vishnu Manchu) manages to save the CM's life and attains hero status overnight.

However, soon after, Bose discovers that the terrorist attack was pre-planned and that a powerful drug mafia is behind the attack. The mafia is led by Jackie Shroff's character, a ruthless businessman, who uses his vast resources and influence to operate his drug business in the city. Bose decides to take matters into his own hands and fights to bring the mafia to justice.

Bose is supported by a female journalist named Anjali (played by Anushka Shetty), who is very passionate about exposing the truth and rooting out corruption. Throughout the movie, Vishnu Manchu delivers an impressive performance as ACP Bose. He displays his agility and action skills, especially during the well-choreographed fight sequences. The cinematography by RD Rajasekar is excellent, and the music by S.A.Rajkumar complements the various moods and sequences of the film. The film's screenplay by Satyanand is well-constructed and well-paced, moving the story forward with crisp dialogue and twists and turns that keep the audience engaged.

One of the strengths of Asthram is its ability to balance the action with drama and suspense. The film never feels overly heavy-handed or melodramatic, and it manages to maintain the tension and excitement throughout its runtime.

In terms of pacing, the movie moves quite fast, and the action sequences are well-timed and well-executed. The film's climax is particularly exciting, and it sets up a satisfying conclusion that resolves all of the movie's conflicts.

In conclusion, Asthram is an action-packed thriller with a great cast, strong direction, and a well-balanced script that delivers on all fronts. The film is an enjoyable ride, with excellent performances, great action sequences, and a powerful message about corruption and the fight against it.
