The movie Refugee followed a Muslim made named Manzu Ahmed as he moves his family from India to East Pakistan. When the state of Bangladesh formed he and several others have to relocate to the western part of this state. In order to get there they have to go across India. This is not a safe journey. Each family is assigned an agent to help them known as a Refugee. One of the Refugees falls in love with Ahmed’s daughter even though they are not supposed to socialize with the people they are transporting. The police in India are constantly on the look out for these travelers. Things then get dangerous on the journey.

Refugee is a 2000 drama with a runtime of 3 hours and 27 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.2.
