Written by Neil Simon, and adapted from his 1985 stage play by the same name, which is also the second installment of his " Eugene Memoir's " trilogy, this semi-autobiographical story will have you in stitches from beginning to end. It tells the story of a young, 20 year old boy from Brooklyn who gets drafted into the army during the final year of World War II. The young Eugene Morris Jerome, played by Mathew Broderick, is sent to Biloxi Mississippi to do his basic training. The laughs just keep coming as he is forced to deal with looney fellow recruits, his first time sexual partner, and a somewhat eccentric drill sergeant.
