Based on real incidents, this docudrama charts the battle waged by Ned De Vries to find the truth behind the illnesses that affect his dairy cattle and family. Despite feeding his animals only the protein rich feed recommended by the local Michigan authorities he sees a number of his animals become ill and no possible reasons given for the illness. De Vries finds a friendly lab technician who hands him the report on his deceased animals and identifies a single anomaly on the report that could point to the real cause of the illness of the animals.
