Watch Christmas Lilies of the Field

"Christmas Lilies of the Field" is an American film from 1979, as well as the direct sequel to 1963's "Lilies of the Field." Homer Smith returns to the desert to check in on the nuns he'd constructed a chapel for. Mother Maria explains that because neither bell-tower nor bells were worked into the structure, that the church is still incomplete. Homer is then convinced to fix these oversights and even adds a few other structures to complement the house of worship and its mission.
