Watch Crazy Heart

"Crazy Heart" is a 2009 dramatic film based on a 1987 novel. The film is about a washed up country singer who reassesses his life after entering a romantic relationship with a journalist who is interviewing him. The romance is doomed from the start but it does inspire the singer to write a song. The song ends up being his comeback to the top of the country music charts. The film stars Jeff Bridges (Bad Blake), Maggie Gyllenhaal (Jean Craddock), Colin Farrell (Tommy Sweet), Robert Duvall (Wayne Kramer), and Paul Herman (Jack Greene).

The screenplay was written by Scott Cooper the novel was written by Thomas Cobb; Scott Cooper also directed the film. The film was shot in New Mexico. The film was produced by Informant Media and Butchers Runs Films, and distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures. The movie runs for 112 minutes, and the budget was $7 million.
