Doctor in the House

Simon Sparrow is training to be a doctor at St. Swithin's Hospital under the teachings of Sir Lancelot Spratt. Simon begins his career by annoying Spratt and has a series of problems in the hospital and his private life, the main being the affections of the teenage daughter of his landlady. Eventually, Simon makes some friends amongst the other students and moves in with them, leading to a series of dates and drunken pranks that often threaten his place at medical school.
