Starring Nicholas Cage, Gone in Sixty Seconds is an action film that explores the world of high-end car thieves and the extremes that they go through to get the vehicles they go after. The film, also starring Giovanni Ribisi, Angelina Jolie and Robert Duvall, is about Randall "Memphis" Raines, a master car thief. Memphis has made a profitable life when it comes to being a car thief, but he has realized that there isn't longevity in such a career, so he decides to retire and go legitimate. However, his plans for retirement are interrupted, and he is forced to go back into the business he is trying to leave. Memphis' younger brother, Kip (Ribisi), gets on the bad side of a highly dangerous crime boss and finds himself in danger of being killed. Memphis, in an attempt to save his brother's life, strikes a bargain with the crime boss; he will steal 50 luxury cars in one night for the boss if he lets his brother go. The man agrees, and Memphis enlists the aid of several fellow car thieves in order to make the deadline. Among them are Sara "Sway" Wayland (Jolie), an old flame of Memphis', and his old mechanic buddy, Otto Hallowell (Duvall). When Memphis combines his need for precision accuracy in locating the vehicles required, taking possession of the cars and the fact that there is a rival ring of car thieves who are looking to also steal the high-end vehicles, he finds his hands full in trying to keep everything coordinated and moving along. Despite the challenges, he does manage to get the vehicles needed to complete his agreement; however, the crime boss has a change of plans. Despite the opposition he faces, Memphis manages to rescue his brother, retire without prison and even get the girl in the end.
