Knight and Day
An action and adventure movie staring Tom Cruise as a super spy and Cameron Diaz as his unwilling accomplice. Tom Cruise plays Roy Miller, a spy that has come to the realization that his company no longer wants him alive. Cameron Diaz plays June Havens who is a flight attendant that is caught in the middle of Roy Miller and the assassins hired to kill him. The film starts out with Tom Cruise's character Roy Miller on a jetliner with a few other passengers. It does not take Roy Miller very long to realize that something is amiss. The other few passengers are on the jet to do him lethal harm. Like most super spies, Roy Miller easily dispatches the motley group of would-be assassins. It is during Roy Millers dramatic parachute escape that he grabs June Havens and brings her along to safety. Now that Roy Miller has found out there is a price on his head he realizes that he has to keep June Havens out of danger. These two go on the run to an island hideaway that Roy Miller has set up in case he is ever the victim of an assassination attempt. June accidentally tips off the assassins the location of there hideaway. They are ambushed at every turn and the only way they can survive is if June gets the courage to start helping fend off the attackers. June is forced into one scenario after another that pushes her well outside her comfort zone. This movie is filled with great action scenes like a high-speed car chase that ends in a gunfight or the opening fight scene on the jet plane. It also has some very funny and lighthearted scenes like Roy Miller meeting a friend of June's and shooting him in the leg.
