Released in 2005, Land of the Dead is a horror and gore movie directed and plotted by George A. Romero. It is the fourth installment from Romero's 6 Living Dead films. The movie cast includes Simon Baker, Dennis Hopper, Robert Joy, and Asia Argento. Production of the movie summed up to $15 million and grossed a box office of $47 million. The film runs approximately 93 minutes and aired in cinemas across Canada, France, and the U.S. The storyline is set 3 years succeeding the zombie apocalypse wherein survivors have build up outposts throughout the entire U.S. One of these outposts is in Pittsburgh where a primitive-like government exists. A hierarchy exists within the river-bordered city in which the affluent people live in an upscale community known as Fiddler's Green. On the other hand, poor people live within the undeveloped areas of the city. Fiddler's Green's leader, Paul Kaufman, sponsors a ground vessel known as Dead Reckoning that is capable of driving through zombie-infested locations with its heavy armor and multiple heavy artillery and machine guns. Yet aside from being a killing machine, Dead Reckoning was also designed to be a mobile fireworks launch vehicle. The armored mechanical behemoth cruises through streets and launches a range of fireworks that gets the zombies distracted, which allows the unit to run outside for supplies with ease. Currently coming out of retirement, Riley Denbo, the designer and commander of Dead Reckoning, decides to take the anti-zombie tank for another run to acquire supplies from abandoned boutiques at nearby cities. Riley distributes the supplies they are able to procure to the needy who are physically unfit to do the job themselves. During their run, the crew makes an intriguing assessment from the zombies. It looks as if the undead have developed a thought or memory process that allows them to strategize and use weapons. One of the zombies named Big Daddy gets his hands on a firearm, which he attempts to use correctly. He then forms a horde to attack the city, using the gun and other melee weapons like an axe to break through fences.
