Laws of Attraction is a 2004 romantic comedy starring Pierce Brosnan, Julianne Moore, and Parker Posey. Brosnan and Moore play two high-profile opposing lawyers who have never lost a case in their careers. While they have a professional rivalry, they are also secretly attracted to each other. When they are both hired to handle a high-profile divorce case, they find themselves in a battle of wits and stubbornness, determined to win the case and protect their reputations.

Brosnan plays Daniel Rafferty, a charming and successful divorce lawyer from Ireland, who is known for his unorthodox yet effective tactics. Moore plays Audrey Woods, a no-nonsense attorney from New York City who has built her career on being meticulous and detail-oriented. The two lawyers find themselves pitted against each other when they are both hired to represent famous rock star Thorne Jamison (played by Michael Sheen) and his fashion designer wife Serena (played by Posey) in their divorce.

The film explores the off-kilter romance that develops between Daniel and Audrey as they attempt to navigate their professional rivalry and personal attraction. They soon discover that they must collaborate in order to win the case, and as they work together they begin to discover that they have more in common than they previously thought. They bond over their shared love of classic movies, music, and cocktails, and they begin to let their guard down as their feelings for each other grow.

As the trial goes on, it becomes increasingly clear that Thorne and Serena are still in love with each other despite their differences. This realization forces Audrey and Daniel to confront their own feelings towards each other as they struggle to come out on top in the case. Along with their assistants, played by Frances Fisher and Nora Dunn, they pull out all the stops to try to win the case, even as their own relationship becomes more and more complicated.

Laws of Attraction is a lighthearted romantic comedy that explores the complexities of love, career, and the clash between different personalities. The film is stylishly shot, with lush locations in Ireland and New York City adding to its appeal. Brosnan and Moore have great chemistry together and are both excellent in their roles. Posey and Sheen provide strong supporting performances as the estranged couple.

The film's soundtrack is also notable, featuring a mix of classic and modern songs that reflect the characters' tastes and personalities. The film's opening scene, in which Daniel and Audrey sing along to "Music to Watch Girls By" while driving through the Irish countryside, sets the tone for the rest of the movie.

Overall, Laws of Attraction is an enjoyable romantic comedy with plenty of witty banter, charming performances, and a charming storyline. It may not break new ground in the genre, but it's a fun and entertaining film that is sure to appeal to fans of romantic comedies.

Laws of Attraction is a 2004 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.8 and a MetaScore of 38.
