Watch Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, directed by Guy Ritchie, is a British comedy thriller about four men who are longtime friends who have gathered up 100,000 Euros and then proceed to attempt to gamble a three-card brag (a British card game that dates back to the 16th century). After losing big time and several days afterward with zero luck requiring any further funds to be able to pay off their debts, the story leads into gang involvement with an original plan to rob a small gang next door to the cardsharp and one twist after another of crime.

This is a story about the connection between money and crime. It arguably is also a lesson about responsible gambling and also about not putting yourself into a debt that you can’t afford to pay your way out of. It also demonstrates the danger of living the criminal life.
