“Mac and Me” is the story of a quartet of aliens that make their way to Earth after a NASA scan accidentally vacuums them. As the aliens escape, the littlest one follows the Cruise family of Eric, Michael, and Janet, while the other aliens wind up in a desert. Only a day after encountering it, the infant alien rescues the wheelchair-bound Eric, who suffers from spina bifida, from drowning in a lake after the boy's wheelchair malfunctions. When Eric's parents refuse to believe Eric about aliens, Eric sets a trap that winds up causing a power outage upon capturing the alien. The alien then undoes all of the damage his powers inflicted upon the neighborhood.

A pair of FBI agents is dispatched to hunt down "MAC," only for Eric and MAC to elude them during a party. Eventually, the family agrees to help MAC reunite with his family, which leads them through an adjacent neighborhood, an abandoned mine, a shootout at a supermarket, and even an explosion that results in several near-death experiences.

Mac and Me is a science fiction family comedy with a total running time of 99 minutes. It also marks the first film appearance of Jennifer Aniston.
