Paul Blart Mall Cop is a comedy film starring Kevin James. Running time for this film is approximately one hour and thirty minutes. This film has mild violence. Paul Blart is an overweight mall security guard. Dreaming to one day become a member of the police force, he takes his security job very seriously. Paul always fails the entrance exam to join the police force because he suffers from low blood sugar. While on daily mall patrol, Paul notices a new kiosk and its attendant, Amy. He instantly becomes attracted to her and offers to walk her to her car one evening. Amy then invites Paul to a mall party. He accepts but then gets intoxicated at the party and makes a fool of himself by falling through a store window. Paul feels sorry for himself after his big mess up with Amy and thinks she no longer likes him. On payday, Amy, along with Paul's other mall friends, is inside the mall bank cashing her paycheck when the bank is broken into and robbed. Placing sensors on the exits, the robbers, led by Veck, the new mall security guard, hold the bank customers, including Amy, hostage. Paul misses all of this because he was playing Rock Band in the arcade. Paul notices the hostage situation and calls the police. He then decides to try to save the hostages and Amy himself. Slowly he begins to pick off Veck's team one by one. When his daughter shows up to deliver his dinner, she is also kidnapped by Veck. Finally, the police apprehend Veck's group, but not before he gets away with Amy and Maya. Paul follows them to the airport, and a fight breaks out. Finally, Veck is caught, and Paul turns down a job with the police so he can stay a mall cop. The show ends with the mall wedding of Amy and Paul.
