Point Doom is a 2000 action/thriller movie starring Richard Grieco as John, a surfer who has retired from the sport and now runs a small bar in Malibu. One day, a man named Frankie, played by Andrew Dice Clay, enters the bar and offers John a job as a courier, transporting drugs for him. John initially refuses, but when Frankie threatens his friend and former surfing partner, Tony, played by Zach Galligan, John is forced to accept.

During his first delivery, John is pulled over by the police and is arrested. He is given a choice by the police: to cooperate with them and become an informant, or to face a long prison sentence. John agrees to cooperate, and is tasked with going undercover to gather information about Frankie's operation.

John's undercover work leads him to meet the beautiful and seductive Simone, played by Angie Everhart, who becomes his love interest. As John continues to gather evidence against Frankie, he discovers that the drug lord is involved in much more than just drug trafficking. Frankie is also using a powerful laser to control the thoughts of wealthy and influential individuals, in order to further his own agenda.

As the plot thickens, John finds himself in a precarious position, caught between the police, Frankie, and Simone. He must use all of his skills as a surfer and a fighter to protect himself and his loved ones, and to bring Frankie's evil plan to an end.

Point Doom is a fast-paced, action-packed movie that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Grieco delivers a strong performance as the reluctant hero, while Clay is menacing and unpredictable as the villain. Everhart adds a touch of glamour to the film, as well as a few steamy scenes.

The film's setting in Malibu adds to the overall aesthetic, showcasing the beauty of California's beaches and the surfing culture of the area. The cinematography is well-done, with stunning shots of the ocean and waves, as well as intense fight scenes and car chases.

Overall, Point Doom is a classic action movie that delivers on all fronts: suspense, drama, romance, and thrilling action sequences. It may not have gained a lot of attention upon its release, but it is definitely worth a watch for fans of the genre.

Point Doom is a 2001 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 39 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.7.
