Jackie Chan returns as Inspector Chan Ka-kui, despite his success in arresting Chu Tao in the first Police Story, he has been demoted to a traffic cop! His long suffering girlfriend May couldn't be happier though as it takes him out of the line of fire. However he soon discovers that Tao is out of prison and is determined to ruin him. Upset at the danger his career has put May and her mother in he resigns briefly, returning only when a string of bomb threats are reported. Will he be able to catch the gang and keep May safe?
