They had a systematic plan at robbing banks in which they performed with exceptional success. Not only was the John Dillinger gang fully capable of robbing banks whenever they wanted, they were able to do things that no one else at the time was able to do. They were able to stay out of jail, and when they went to jail they were able to escape. John Dillinger single handedly escaped several prisons across the United States of America with such ease that it was shocking. This film shows just how savage the group of criminals was and the lengths that they went to avoid the law. In numerous scenes, the group is shown shooting Tommy Guns and other automatic weapons at officers, murdering and pillaging around the country with reckless abandon. As time went on John Dillinger and Baby Face Nelson took turns being public enemy number one in the United States, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation was doing everything in their power to track them down dead or alive. The film shows just how raw this group of gangsters was and how they struck fear into the public as well as the police departments across America. Along with this however, they managed to create a sort of mystic romance that people in a way fell in love with. Hands down they were one of the most vicious and well-executed group of gangsters not only for their time but also in the history of the United States of America.
