Reckless is a drama film that was released in 1984. The film centers around two high school students who meet as the result of a lottery at a high school dance. A privileged cheerleader falls in love with the school’s outcast. The boy has to reconcile with his recently deceased family members, and he must stop being anti-social if he wants to be in love with the cheerleader. The cheerleader also has to decide if she wants to go after her new love, or if she wants to stay with her old boyfriend. Reckless was filmed only in black and white, and it features a number of scenic shots of the rust belt region of the United States. The film was written by Chris Columbus, and it was directed by James Foley. The boy was played by Aidan Quinn, and the cheerleader was played by Daryl Hannah.
