Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee is a movie about the exploits of the US American government against the Dakota Indians of the late 1800s. The movie depicts the lies and truths that the government uses to get the Indians to live peacefully in the reservation that was provided for them.

Sitting Bull, one of the Indian chiefs is refusing to submit to the specifications of the government. So the government officials try to get a young half Indian doctor to talk to the Indians and get them to accept what the government is offering. But once the doctor sees the deplorable conditions that the Indians suffer, he then refuses and tries to make things better for the Indians.
