Sapoot is a 1996 Bollywood action film that stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles. The movie, directed by Jagdish A. Sharma, revolves around the story of a criminal family that tries to prove their innocence after being framed in a murder case. The film begins with a rich businessman, Mr. Saxena, getting murdered in his house. The police, led by Inspector Singh (Suniel Shetty), start their investigation and soon find out that the main suspect in the case is a criminal family led by Brijesh Singh (Akshay Kumar), who is also Inspector Singh's brother. The family is known for their illegal activities like smuggling, robbery, and murder.

The police raid Brijesh's house, but he manages to escape with his family. Soon after, they all decide to prove their innocence and find out the real killer of Mr. Saxena. To do this, Brijesh reaches out to his childhood friend Vijay Saxena (Alok Nath), the son of the deceased businessman.

Vijay is initially reluctant to help Brijesh, but after seeing his family's plight, he agrees to team up with them. Together, they start investigating the case and find out that the real culprit is someone from Vijay's own family, who wanted to take over his father's business empire.

Meanwhile, Inspector Singh is still determined to bring Brijesh and his family to justice. As the story progresses, he starts to realize that his brother might not be guilty after all and starts to investigate the case on his own. He soon finds out that there's more to the case than what meets the eye.

The film's plot is full of twists and turns, and the action sequences are well choreographed, keeping the audience engaged throughout the movie. Akshay Kumar's portrayal of Brijesh Singh is one of the film's highlights, and his chemistry with Suniel Shetty's Inspector Singh is impressive.

Karisma Kapoor, who plays the role of Brijesh's wife, adds a touch of glamour to the movie, while Alok Nath's performance as Vijay Saxena is noteworthy. The film's music, composed by Anu Malik, is also enjoyable, with songs like "Sapoot Banega" and "Mere Dil Mein Rehne Wali" being popular even today.

Overall, Sapoot is a well-made action-packed thriller that offers entertainment in the right doses. The film's plot is unique, and it offers a refreshing take on the standard Bollywood formula. With an impressive cast, great music, and well-executed action sequences, the movie is definitely worth a watch.
