Scrooge & Marley, released in 2012, is a modern-day adaptation of the classic tale A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. The film is co-written and directed by Richard Knight Jr. and Peter Neville. This movie follows the life of Ben Scrooge, a wealthy and miserly businessman who shows no compassion towards others. David Pevsner portrays the role of Ben Scrooge, a wealthy businessman who runs a company called Scrooge, Inc. Ben is a man consumed by his work; he is arrogant, greedy and has no empathy for his employees or anyone else. He has a cynical view towards Christmas and doesn't understand the true meaning of the holiday. Ben is rude to everyone, including his loyal assistant Bob Cratchit played by Tim Kazurinsky who tries his best to put up with his boss's harshness. Rusty Schwimmer plays the role of Gladys Cratchit, Bob's wife, and together they have two children Peter and Tim. Ben doesn't care about the well-being of his employees and refuses to give them a day off on Christmas.

On Christmas Eve, Ben is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, played by Bruce Vilanch. Jacob warns Ben of the consequences of living a life full of greed and selfishness. He tells Ben that he will be visited by three spirits: the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. Each ghost will take him on a journey through his life, showing him the consequences of his actions and the effects his behavior has on those around him.

As the story progresses, we see Ben transported into different parts of his life. Ben is taken to his childhood and adolescence, where he is shown how his negative experiences led him to become the person he is today. He is also shown how his behavior affects the people in his life. The ghost of Christmas Present takes Ben to the Cratchit household, where he sees how the family celebrates Christmas despite their financial struggles. Ben is shown the love and warmth that is present between family members and realizes the importance of being empathetic towards others.

Finally, the ghost of Christmas Yet to Come shows Ben the consequences of his actions, and how his behavior has affected the lives of those around him. This is the final push Ben needs to change his ways and start living a kinder and more fulfilling life. Ben wakes up on Christmas Day a changed man and makes amends with all those he had wronged. He shows kindness and generosity towards his employees, including Bob and his family, and everyone else he comes across.

Scrooge & Marley is a heartwarming tale that reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas. It portrays the importance of empathy, kindness, and compassion towards others. The film's cast performances are commendable, particularly David Pevsner, who portrays Ben Scrooge's transformation beautifully. The cinematography and direction are also noteworthy, as they create a movie that is visually compelling and enjoyable to watch.

Overall, Scrooge & Marley is a movie that will make you laugh, cry, and leave you with a warm feeling in your heart. It is a modern-day adaptation of the classic Christmas story that is worth watching with family and friends every holiday season.
