Welcome to the world of spying for the British government. Professor Sebastisn left his job at Oxford to begin decoding messages for British government. His is put in charge of an all-female group of decoders, including Jewish decoder Elsa Shahn who is thought to be part of the communist party. After meeting Becky Howard on the way to an awards presentation, Sebastian offers her a job with his agency and embarks on an affair with her. When pressure comes to bare on his office for possible leaks, he resigns. However, his services are soon needed to help the American government with spying efforts against the Russians.
