The Adventures of Gerard is based on short stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle about a French Hussars Colonel Etienne Gerard who served under Napoleon Bonaparte during his European Campaigns. It is a historical adventure comedy portraying a man who is not ready to admit to be second best to anyone. Gerard is given a special assignment by Napoleon himself. He has to take confidential messages from the Emperor to Marshal Massena who is fighting British forces in Spain. On a way there, he meets Therese Morales, a beautiful Spanish Countess, who is actually on a mission to seduce the Colonel and steal his secrets.
