This childhood classic cartoon is finally brought to life in the 1994 making of The Flintstones. The movie highlights the trials and tribulations of two Stone Age families, the Flintstones and the Rubbles, as they try to make it in their ever advancing world. Fred Flintstone isn’t the brightest employee at Slate and Company where he works alongside his lifelong friend Barney Rubble, but he has managed to put away a decent nest egg. Meanwhile Barney and his wife have been trying adopt a child, but can’t scrounge up the money necessary to adopt. Fred decides to give his friend the money to adopt, and Barney, so grateful for the gift of life, vows to pay Fred back. Later, at Slate and Company a position for associate vice president opens up, and the company is filling the position through a written test, and offering the position to the highest scorer on the exam. Barney, who is highly intelligent, sees his opportunity to pay Fred back. The only problem is, the vice president position might not be it’s all cracked up to be and opens a world of problems for the Flintstone’s and the Rubble’s.
