George Herman "Babe" Ruth remains as one of the most dynamic and memorable baseball players in the history of the game. His childhood was rough and his teenage years were a blur. But, through it all, the Babe managed to find a way to become an American hero. But, as with all heroes, there is the side that the public never sees. He had ambitions for the game of baseball that went beyond just hitting home runs. No matter how famous or wealthy Babe Ruth became, he was never happy about what he was doing. His ultimate baseball goals always eluded him and his personal life was a train wreck that he was never able to get under control. The Babe had people around him that cared about him deeply, but that doesn't do anyone any good when they don't even care about themselves.
