Watch The Rainmaker

The Rainmaker is a dramatic legal thriller starring Matt Damon. It's based on one of the popular novels of author John Grisham. Matt Damon plays Rudy, a young man who grew up in poverty with abusive parents. Rudy is brilliant and has a passion for the law so he decides to go to law school. Rudy has difficulty finding a job after law school until he meets Bruiser. Bruiser is a ruthless attorney who takes Rudy on to mentor him. Soon, Bruiser's bad acts catch up with him and his law office is raided by federal agents. Rudy is forced to start his own practice and he teams up with Deck, played by Danny DeVito. Deck is brilliant but has never been able to pass the bar exam. Rudy is given his first big case, and he is dealing with immense pressure as he has to take on a giant insurance company. He also soon meets a mysterious married woman who he starts to fall in love with. Through it all, Rudy deals with the trials and tribulations of big time litigation. The lawyers on the other side are ruthless and are willing to use very trick in the book to win. The pressure is on as Rudy takes the case.
