The Hiding Place, produced in 1975, is based on a book written by Corrie Ten Boom that shows what she and her family went through during the Holocaust; being imprisoned in a Nazi concentration camp. The story, which is autobiographical, takes place during World War II. The cast and setting of the movie give a realistic and horrifying look at what took place at that time.

The Hiding Place begins in 1940 and shows what Corrie Ten Boom and her family did to help Jews who lived in Holland. Their remodeled home gave them the opportunity to hide Jews and for a while, it worked. Later in the movie, the Nazis found out what Corrie and her family did and on February 19, 1944, her family and friends were arrested. Strangely, the Jews that were hidden away in their home were never found.
