The Matrix Revolutions is the third movie in the Matrix trilogy. Originally released in November 2003, the film debuted just six months after the second installment in the series, The Matrix Reloaded hit theaters. The film includes many of the same characters as the original two films, focusing the story primarily on its main character, Neo, played by Keanu Reeves.

In The Matrix Revolutions, the film follows Neo’s fight against the Matrix and includes appearances by Laurence Fishburn as Morpheus, and Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity. The culmination of the series, the film is the final installment in the battle. The entire series is known for its sci-fi story and special effects, which were start-of-the-art at the film's release in 2003.

The Matrix series was both written and directed by The Wachowski Brothers, Andy and Lana Lachowski.
